Denpasar City Government again conducted a mass swab test on hundreds of PMI who were undergoing quarantine in a number of shelters prepared by the Denpasar City Government. This activity is part of an effort to accelerate the handling of Covid-19. In collaboration with the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Denpasar and RSPTN Unud, Denpasar City Government moved quickly to carry out a mass Swab Test targeting 140 PMI on Monday (5/18).
Denpasar City Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson, I Dewa Gede Rai explained that one of the efforts to accelerate the handling of Covid-19 was to carry out testing so that PMi’s health condition can be clearly known. The implementation of the Bulk Swab Test is important to take the next step in this case PMI as well as people with OTG status that are being quarantined.
“During quarantine at the shelter, the condition of the quarantine health diagnosis is unknown, so to support the acceleration of handling a mass Swab Test is carried out by cooperating with IDI and the RSPTN of Udayana University. Regarding the results in the next 2 or 3 days,” he explained.
“Of course we hope that with the assistance from RSUDN Udayana University, PMI status conditions will be faster we know whether the concerned is Positive or Negative covid 19. Of course with this activity can accelerate the handling of Covid-19 in Denpasar City, as well as providing accurate information about the diagnosis of people’s health who are following quarantine, “he explained. The rest Dewa Rai emphasized that the threat in the acceleration of handling of Covid 19 in Denpasar was a case of local transmission. “The case of local transmission is more difficult when tracing will be carried out because contact between people can be very wide and numerous,” he said.
